The Usher Society is the group of men and women who welcome everyone to the Vigil Mass (5:30pm) and 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses, as well as the Holy Days of Obligation Masses here at St. Jude Catholic Church. Their responsibilities include working with the coordinator of the ministers before the Mass begins in securing Eucharistic Ministers if the scheduled Ministers are not present. They serve as Eucharistic Guards; they assist the handicapped at the entrance of Church and to receive Communion if needed. The ushers are used to direct parishioners receiving Communion so that it is done in an orderly and reverent manner. They assist anyone who may need assistance before, during or after Mass. They also distribute the Parish Bulletin after Masses.
